Oblivion design

This design is created by changing the background colour to one tone of pink. i later placed the image of Oblivion in black to create the effect of a stencil. i like how the background leaves a gritty texture on the design

techniques to make the designs

this artwork is created by shave foam, laminating sheets with wax crayon and cellophane and the rest are made using watercolours. this art collection are used to make the designs that you see on the blog. I manipulate these techniques by boosting the contrast, vibrance and tone to show the colours from black to the bold colours.

Alton Towers Design

this collection of artwork is inspired by miles donovan and the use of his ovelapping images and the block colours.

design idea 9

This design is similar to my first design idea

Design idea 8

This technique is similar to other Christoffer Relander inspired work

design idea 7

This design idea is going to be one of my final designs as this design is very strong. i like how the paint is manipulated to the levels of the models face.

Design idea 5 and 6

this work is created by the same technique as design idea 3, however I created  a circle without no fill in it. The reason I like this artwork is because the negative space compliments the overall artwork on the designs as it makes the colour more bold.

design idea 4

This design idea is created the same by turning the model in a scale of black and white and overlapping the image of a tree onto the model. I used a colour layer and used a gradient paint of red and orange to make the design, I highlighted the model layer and used the burn tool to bring out the facial features. This design went very well as I created the design that I initially wanted to make.

design idea 3

This piece was created by turning the image of me into a a grey and white image and overlaying the image of watercolour paint and boosting the contrast and tone of the colours. I use this technique as the design looks 2D compared to my other images. the picture of me was originally was taken on a white background  with one shadow casting on my face to create a nice tone. i like the negative space used on this image to create the design.

design idea 2

this design idea is created by scanning an image of water colour which i splatted on to an A4 white paper. Like the other design I use gaussian blur to create an outline on the splatter background and then use a darken layer effect on the grey image of me. I like the design because I find the way my hair is designed like that is quite interesting and the contrast of colours.

CRISTOFFER RELANDER INSPIRED ARTWORK

This artwork was created by  taking to separate images (branches and a model).
the software I used to create this was Photoshop.
the image of the model was originally in colour which I later turned into black and white. I exaggerated the tone of the black and white by making the model more the tone of black to grey.
I opened another file which I uploaded the image of branches onto. I turned the image into black and took away anything that was black. I copied the image onto the other file on used the overlay layer effect to create the tree effect you see above. The problem i came across was that I couldn't see the detail on his facial features so I used the burn tool on the parts that I wanted to be highlighted. I felt as if the design idea was successful.

Design idea

For this piece of work I used a combination of Cristoffer relander and Stina person.  The colours and tone I used are influenced by Stina as the colour is bold and how the image I used to mask the picture of me was originally watercolours I dripped on a piece of A4 white paper and let them freely run into each other. I later scanned the image into Photoshop and then raised the contrast and vibrance. For the image of me I first cropped any shadow that was not needed. Later I turned the image into black and white and exaggerated the tones from black to grey so you could see the levels of my skin for example my cheeks and forehead. I later used Gaussian blur to make the image look smoother. I later saved the image as a map.
I created a same file except that I didn’t exaggerate the tone of my face and just left it black and white. I uploaded the image of the watercolour paint I scanned before and overlapped it on the image of me. I clicked on the watercolour layer and used a distort effect called displace and it created an image of me in the same submerged into the paint. I change the layer type into darker and used the burn tool on parts which I thought that needed to be seen like my lips, the indivual hair and the detail on my clothes.
